SOMOS OS CORPOS QUE NOS OLHAM
Somos os Corpos que nos Olham (We are the bodies of those who see us) is an extension of my experimentation with thread. Lara Almeida and I were interested in using it as a mediator between our bodies establishing a physical dialogical discourse. To play with the sense of touch. We defined for both of us that we should refrain from opening our eyes throughout the performance. It became an exercise of endurance and concentration. We were guided through each other’s bodies by the spools of thread tied to our wrists. Focusing on the sense of touch we developed a way of communicating to and through each other.
