Dentes & Pedras
Work in progress, 2026
What was once inside my body is now held in my hands
Who was once held by my hands is now inside my body
Dentes e Pedras (Teeth & Stones) is a performance that explores the transformation of disappearance, of losing something and someone. I take my milk and wisdom teeth and use them to tell a story of fragmented memories. I take the stones from the beaches and mountains visited since childhood. I take my mother’s small box of treasures and start a small fire. This piece is a long song of images, built with teeth and stones. A proposition to wonder upon the magical process that is time, and of what it does to us. Dentes e Pedras is a performance that reflects upon grief, our relationship with memory, and the objects we carry with us from childhood.
